If ever there was someone who was born privileged, here she is. She is a Vanderwal, born into a very successful dairy farming family who own Cedarwal Farms - Elite Holstein Genetics & Genomics.
Her grandfather and grandmother Tony Vanderwal and Nicky Vanderwal moved from Holland to Langley, BC in 1951 and began milking six cows on a small acreage. In 1960, Tony bought his first purebred cows and Cedarwal Farms was born.  In 1975, Cedarwal Farms moved from Langley to the current location in Abbotsford, farming 180 acres and milking 120 cows.
Her uncle (Dr. Rich Vanderwal of Abbotsford Veterinary Clinic) manages Cedarwal Farms extensive embryo transfer program.
Her future is/was apparently secure and I believe she actually has/had a management position handed to her by her family on their organic dairy Cedar Valley Dairy that subsequently burn't down in a fire on 28 June 2015 - just a short time after the fire they had on my property.
